Jane & Shane

Jane Lerman & Shane Fonner’s Desert Wedding

When Jane and Shane first met us during the search for their perfect wedding planners in Marrakech, they emphasized to us that they didn’t want a cookie-cutter venue or wedding, they wanted something unique and personal – a true once-in-a-lifetime experience for guests traveling around the world to share in their celebration.

We created a magic journey for the couple and their guests. The day before their Marrakech destination wedding, the group caravanned to a remote hotel, La Pause, for a day of desert fun set amongst the romantic sand dunes. Guests enjoyed camel and ATV rides, playing with falcons and a delectable meal with local flair.

A wall of candles invited guests to the cocktail hour in the villa’s backyard, then to the dinner tent, with its rainforest effect of candles, crystals and flowers draping down from olive trees. The dream Moroccan wedding was featured in the Wall Street Journal as an example of the rise of intimate-yet-extravagant weddings as well as in Harper’s Bazaar.

Alex & Craig

Alex & Craig’s
Mamounia Wedding

The setting for Alex and Craig’s magical 5-day Marrakech destination wedding was one of the world’s most recognized luxurious palace properties: La Mamounia. Now a five- star luxury hotel, the 12 th Century palace features Arabic-Andalusian architecture and lavish walking gardens. It is considered one of the finest wedding venues in Marrakech.

Alex and Craig hosted a welcome party, desert rehearsal dinner, wedding and an authentic brunch adventure for their guests, who were made to feel at home amidst the scent of jasmine and the warmth of Moroccan hospitality throughout the celebration. We truly loved serving as Alex’s Marrakech wedding planner, as we admired her exclusive sense of style!

Dana & Michael

Dana & Michael’s
Magical Destination Wedding in Rome

Dana and Michael dreamt of a colorful destination wedding in Rome: the City of Love. Their 3-day celebration began at ANTICA PESA with the acoustic sounds of a traditional Italian opera singer. The restaurant is a romantic Roman hideaway known to be a favorite of celebrities. Its cozy rooms and walled garden made it the ideal place to begin the couple’s journey.

Everything was perfect for Dana and Michael’s Rome wedding day. The enchanting 19th Century Villa Milani offered stunning views, exquisite catering and a dramatic backdrop for the couple’s moonlit outdoor ceremony. Their gorgeous, ornate chuppah was created by our talented floral designer Nicolas Barelier.

The reception décor was lush with wall-to-wall flowers and candlelight at every turn. The newlyweds and their guests enjoyed the music of a 16-piece live band, and were mesmerized by a brilliant fireworks presentation. Dana and Michael’s celebration was one of our finest Rome luxury weddings, and we wish them a married life together as incredible as the day it began!

Charlotte & Samuel

Charlotte & Samuel
Bohemian Chic Wedding Marrakech

French residents of Paris, this dynamic couple, Charlotte and Samuel, shared their first weekend trip together in Marrakech, Morocco just two months after they met. The pair fell in love not only with each other, but with the vibrant city as well, and knew immediately that it would be the perfect destination-wedding location.

Inspired by the natural ambiance of Morocco and the romance of France, they asked us to create a getaway weekend that revolved around food, drink and fun!

Their October 2017 Marrakech wedding day began with a moving ceremony witnessed by 200 of their dearest friends and family at the historic Church of Marrakech. After the ceremony, guests were greeted by 10,000 enchanting candles and a daring performance by professional Moroccan fire-eaters.

A four-course dinner at Palais Ksar Char Bagh included rosé champagne and delicate mini-desserts. Luminescent blooms and custom gold light fixtures reached down to guest tables from elaborate chandeliers, creating a dream setting for the couple’s magical Marrakech wedding reception.

Banke & Sola

Banke & Sola
Moroccan Palace Wedding

Nigerian-born, London-raised Fashion Designer Banke Kuku wanted an exotic place to celebrate her wedding day. She always loved and found herself inspired by Marrakech and Morocco. She and her fiancé Sola were introduced to their venue, the Palais Namaskar, by our award-winning international wedding designer, Fabrice Orlando, who helped them envision how simple it would be to enhance the natural beauty and ambiance of the venue.

Banke developed a serious crush on the location and design ideas and Sola loved the entire concept. The couple immediately decided that getting married in Marrakech was their dream.

We designed a bold black-and-white look that we tied into each setting of the couple’s stunning event, from the towering colonnade of their beautiful outdoor ceremony through their opulent al fresco dinner reception. The wedding featured 7,000 romantic candles, a 4-course dinner, live entertainers and one incredible party to remember. All of the elements came together perfectly, and Banke and Sola’s destination wedding in Marrakech was nothing short of pure magic.

Ilona & Boris

Ilona & Boris
Ancient Rome wedding

It’s safe to say that Ilona and Boris are just a little obsessed with Rome. She wanted to marry at the Grande Synagogue, while he had been dreaming of gladiators since they appeared in his books as a child. We took this knowledge and created a unique and exclusive destination wedding in Rome.

Three crazy days in the ancient city conjured up by Fabrice Orlando started at Antica Pesa with a Dolce Vita-themed welcome party. Guests then enjoyed a brunch at the legendary Da Meo Pattaca, with entertainment by the World Pizzaiolo Acrobatic Champion. Of course, there was more than enough fresh-cooked pasta to go around!

The theme of the main table was “Gold and Red,” the colors of the Roman Empire. We used crystal glasses, gold cutlery and 900 antique décor pieces from ancient Rome to achieve our look and give Ilona and Boris one of our renowned Rome luxury weddings and weekend of their dreams.

Adriana & Aram

Adriana & Aram
Beautiful Wedding in a Secret Palace

When former Top Model Adriana Karembeu married dashing international businessman Aram Ohanian, she knew that there was only one person in the world who she wanted to plan her special day: Cocoon Events’ CEO and expert Marrakech wedding planner, Fabrice Orlando.

The couple’s civil ceremony was held at City Hall in Monaco for a few close friends and family before they were whisked away to breathtaking Marrakech, one of the cities the couple calls home. 150 of their closest friends joined them for the two-day reception in a secret among wedding venues in Marrakech – the palace known as The Palais Rhoul.

Built in the Greco-Roman style, the palace features a huge central swimming pool surrounded by dramatic columns, which we accented with glowing amber candles and giant floating black and white globes overhead. Guests dined in the palace’s manicured gardens at stunning tablescapes of pure white. The exclusive, intimate and private wedding weekend was a dream come true for Adriana and Aram.

Sirin & Jason

Sirin & Jason
Adventure in Morocco

With a love and appreciation for the culture and religion of Morocco, Sirin and Jason traveled to this North African oasis of ancient beauty to celebrate their wedding. But before they exchanged their vows, they explored the Medina in Marrakech, a UNESCO World Heritage site and the “old town” to go to since the 11th century for trade and exotic shopping experiences.

Nestled in the Red City, lively open-air marketplaces called souks transported them into a world of intricate lanterns, rich fabrics, artisanal woodwork, and polished ceramics. The ornate architecture of the Medina alone is inspiring for any couple looking for romance in the mystic!

One of Jason and Sirin’s favorite parts of exploring the city was interacting with the local vendors. Everything is negotiable in the souk, but you must make friends with the vendors first — otherwise the chances of getting a good deal is very low.

Maha & Tami

Maha & Tami
Arabian Night in Rabat

Whether you’re the happy couple, or one of their lucky guests, the best weddings can be magical events filled with whimsy, romance and radiant joy. Boho-inspired luxury weddings in Morocco take the fantasy factor even further with an earthy, vintage feel that is both casual and elegant.

Maha wanted her wedding to be “perfectly imperfect” and low-fuss, with a super relaxed feel, which is just what we created for her.

The couple enjoyed a fun Boho-style reception with Moroccan lanterns casually hanging among twinkling fairy lights in the garden. Guests relaxed, sipping champagne from eclectic mismatched flutes and lounging al fresco on gorgeous vintage furniture – and of course, there were many floral crowns to go around, a must-have detail at Boho Chic weddings.

Maha and Tami’s tablescapes featured a cool mix of vintage glass bottles as vases, with local wildflowers and candles to further ignite the passion. An assortment of real antique décor pieces gave Maha and Tami’s Boho wedding a chic, signature look.

From Paris With Love

From Paris with Love

Cocoon Events specializes in more than just Paris luxury weddings. This over-the-top birthday celebration for 200 guests was held at the sensational Palais des Beaux Arts and featured a “Gone with the Wind Carnival” theme, carried out through exquisite décor, delectable menus and custom-selected live music.

To keep guests guessing and fully engaged, we set up different looks for each remarkable stage of the evening. A lush red velvet lounge welcomed party-goers before the main event – in stark contrast to the crisp white and pastel dinner reception.

Guests dined on a delectable gourmet meal, enjoying exclusive wines from Chassagne Montrachet and the famous winery Cheval Blanc. Simply everything was larger than life. Even the birthday cake was 3 meters wide! The night’s entertainment included performances by internationally renowned “The Masques” and a special appearance by the Gipsy Kings.

The event was a once-in-a-lifetime birthday extravaganza – demonstrating that weddings in Paris are just the tip of the iceberg. Paris is for private celebrations of all kinds. La vie est grande!
