5 Best Wedding Venues in France from Cocoon Events
31TH MARTH 2021
France is the perfect destination for a luxurious, romantic and truly sophisticated wedding. But the main proviso for a perfect wedding here is to find a venue that fully reflects the couple’s emotions and emphasizes the power of their love. We have compiled a small selection of our favorite wedding venues in France for the grandest celebrations.
Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc, Antibes
The Côte d’Azur is one of our favorite destinations for a luxury wedding in France. We prefer the gentle, sophisticated, romantic Antibes to ostentatious Cannes. Tucked away in pine groves, Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc offers the most dreamy and romantic atmosphere of any hotel on the Riviera. The snow-white hotel stands on the top of a rocky cliff, hidden from prying eyes by dense pine groves. Terraces of restaurants overhang the sea, offering incredible views.
For the wedding ceremony itself there is a beautiful park – you can get married outdoors among the pines, cypresses and cedars. In between celebrations, guests can relax by the pool, go water skiing or snorkeling. This France wedding venue really does have it all.
Chateau Challain, Anjou
Dreaming of a French fairy-tale wedding? Then a splendid 19th century chateau on the edge of the Loire Valley is exactly what you need. Chateau Challain was built in 1854 by one of the most prominent families in France, the La Rochefoucauld family, and is an exceptional example of pure Gothic romanticism. Thanks to the special atmosphere and design of the castle itself, the Château Challain is often called the “neo-gothic pearl of Anjou”.
The chateau boasts many magnificent architectural details – intricate wood carvings, Gothic panelling and sculptures, grandiose fireplaces and hand-painted ceilings. When hiring the chateau for an event, you also get exclusive access to the castle’s 72-acre gardens and woodland. In addition, the castle houses 23 magnificent suites, where newlyweds and their guests can stay for the entire wedding weekend.
Beaux-Arts de Paris, Paris
Many couples who come to us dream of a wedding in the city of love – Paris. And for good reason – some of the best wedding venues in France can be found there. Five-star hotels with rooftop dining venues, upscale restaurants with Michelin stars, and wonderful private villas secluded in blooming gardens.
Each of these venues types promises magic and romance, but we prefer to take events in Paris to the next level and select truly unique venues. For example, have you considered the Paris School of Fine Arts? The chic, spacious hall of the School of Fine Arts can open the doors for a wonderful private event.
This is where we celebrated our famous party ‘From Paris with love’. A grand birthday celebration for 200 guests, we designed exquisite decor, a delicious menu and organized a live music concert within the walls of the school for an exclusive guest list.
Château Cèdre, Dordogne
The Dordogne is the cultural jewel of south-west France and the perfect wedding venue in the midst of the romance of traditional French countryside. From medieval fortresses to exquisite, opulent châteaux of the 19th century, there is the place to choose for an exclusive wedding.
The Chateau Cedre is one perfect choice. This historical monument was once an ancient fortress, and in the 17th century it transformed into a palace. Here you will find a unique setting full of elegant charm and authenticity. For the ceremony itself, the Chateau Cedre has its own private church that can accommodate up to 300 guests. And your wedding party can be held in the open-air garden or in one of the six ballrooms!
Ephrussi de Rothschild, Cap Ferrat
The French Riviera is rich in luxurious venues for events, so we couldn’t simply choose one for our best wedding venues in France. Another exceptional wedding venue on the Cote d’Azur is the famous Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild. The villa is located on Cap Ferrat, just a short drive from famous Monaco.
Weddings at Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild promise an elegant combination of French charm and sophisticated luxury. The perfect location and luxurious furnishings make the villa one of the premier exclusive wedding venues in the south of France. The villa is surrounded by nine themed gardens: Florentine, Spanish, French, Japanese, Provençal, northern, exotic, stone and the rose garden. These beautifully landscaped gardens offer breath-taking views of the bays of Beaulieu and Villefranche-sur-Mer. Furthermore, they offer perfect settings for your Champagne reception and couple’s portraits.
