Shane & Jane
This wedding was a luxurious multi-day event, which was inspired by the couples love for the city of Marrakech. At our first meeting, the bride said they didn’t want a cookie cutter venue or wedding. If they were going to bring all of their closest friends and family to Morocco, they wanted to make sure that everyone had the experience of a lifetime that makes it worth the trip- so that is exactly what we wanted to give her.
I suggested the ceremony and reception take place at a private villa in the city that belonged to the renowned architect, Aziz Lamghari.
The wedding was later featured in the Wall Street Journal as an example of intimate, but extravagant weddings on the rise, as well as received a full feature on Harper’s Bazaar.
The couple wanted to bring in traditional Moroccan elements into the décor, but equally wanted to avoid overwhelming the natural beauty of the locale. Additionally, Jane and Shane sought a unique experience that their guests would hold with them long after the wedding, and I’m thrilled to share that we succeeded.
I asked Jane for her take on the day and she also shared the following:
“What also made the wedding most unique to me was that, thanks to Fabrice’s creative thinking and help in making all of our crazy visions come to life, it felt like we were in a moveable feast. From the days leading up to the wedding, to the day in the Agafay, to the day of the wedding there was never a dull moment.
We had entertainment every step of the way during the wedding, starting with The Essaouira Gnawa and The Dakkas Marrakchias to greet the guests before the ceremony, to the SoShy and Jam Kay performance after our vows, to the Andalus Arabic Trio during the cocktail, the tenor (Jean Luca Viala) before the reception, the Blue Torch men from the desert and the Jad Gypsy band and belly dancers during the reception, Fabrice’s background in music production really showed. He went above and beyond to make sure there wasn’t a dull moment, and even included some surprises for us along the way.
I plan events as part of my job and I just wanted to enjoy my wedding knowing I didn’t have to worry about what happens when. I knew I was in good hands with Fabrice, but he really blew me away – everything was executed absolutely flawlessly.”
